WHAT A DAY: WHAT A WEEK! June 19, 2015

Let's just try and avoid the drama as it is still continuing as of today ...and focus on the fun I had in Greenville, SC with Tony.
Day 1:  rain, checked in to Clarion Hotel, facials, and Steak-Out for dinner.  We watched a movie "The Good Lie"on HBO and the new "Naked & Afraid". (also the start of the car drama)

Day 2: breakfast at hotel, run at park nearby, lunch at Stax Omega ( I had Shrimp & Grits), movie "Ant Man" (Tony fell asleep), dinner at Longhorn, and more facials.

Day 3:  switched to Microtel, dinner at Carraba's, started a new book and did a lot of drawing
Day 4: lunch at Bad Daddy's and enjoyed a free banana pudding with strawberries, Tony makes fun of my photo taking, checked in to Days Inn, layed out, redid nails, drew,  ate a sundae (this was when the car drama got to me...i.e. too many desserts.)

Day 5:  off to the mall to waste time, grabbed a new flavor Strawberry Acai Refresher, shopped, lunch at Tijuana Flats, headed to Anderson for the night, counted all of Tony's change, went to see "Southpaw"

Day 6: lunch at Jake's Wayback Burgers, visited SC Botanical Gardens, Krispy Kreme and Enterprise Rental..(yes, the car drama was still going strong)

And the "Egg" was the car I was given...super small but good on gas mileage....It hopefully will get returned tomorrow or Friday when my car is finally repaired....and I say FINALLY!!  I will definitely never go to Big O Dodge...and never deal with the service Advisor Matthew Floyd EVER AGAIN.

CREATIVEgirl: Creative Challenge #1

Daneille Donaldson book is so chalked full of yummy goodness and fun challenges to do solo and with friends. The challenges each list about 4 points to address what to use and what to draw/paint, etc.   So I will be posting my results as I finished each challenge. Of course I will not give too much away on each challenge...as you will have to buy the book and see for yourself :)
It's well-worth it!!

LIFE BOOK 2015: Danielle Donaldson Lesson

This week's lesson was one I adore. As I adore Danielle Donaldson to pieces.
The image was adhered to my SMASH album I use for various drawing and adventures with Tony.
I thought the background was too loud for the girl so I applied a thin coat of gesso and love it so much more.
And then Danielle issued a challenge on her blog for a giveaway, and this is what I created for it #creativeGIRLgoodness.

And now time to dive into her new book "CREATIVEgirl"

PORTRAIT CLASS W/ KATE THOMPSON: Practicing

I found this image in a SMASH album and decided to apply the lessons I've learned and recreate it.

WHAT A DAY: June 12, 2015

Off to a fun day together with Tony and his niece, Paris
at Greensboro Science Center in Greensboro, NC.
Up first, the SciQuarium.

Otters having fun and a dome was created to get a close up encounter.

My favorite new site was the spotted stingray....very pretty and different.

Paris made every attempt, but just couldn't come to touching them.  I got a quick feel and that was enough for me.
Eww...slimy.

We ended up eating lunch near this beauty...my birthstone.
Paris took a chance and felt the "Arctic Blast"

All about dinosaurs and bones....Paris was wanting to bone hunt, but that wasn't an option.
(We saw "Jurassic World" last night.)
Then off to a quick walk through of the zoo and petting farm area.

After dropping Paris off, we munched on some yummy Outback Steakhouse.
