HELLO LUCY W/ Bunny Ears!
This month I wanted to try something different with my RubberMoon stamp. Plus wanted to incorporate an Easter/Spring theme.
If many of you don't already know, I adore Sunny's funky/fun art style. She has recently been doing a lot of great large scale paintings. And I still have my obsession with Paint-By-Numbers.
So out of my head came a Painting-By-Number using this stamp.
After stamping on to a piece of paper (image on upper left),
I used a copy machine to enlarge the image 200%.
....The resulting image (on upper right corner) another 200%.
---and then the next larger image (center bottom) another 185%
to get the result of a full 8.5x11 page image.
I scanned in the final result for my future references;however if you print off the images, the posted pictures will not appear in the correct dimensions as stated. I had to use a photo of the .pdf's I created.
I opted to use the second largest image for a 5x7 project size.
I copied the image onto white cardstock and trimmed to size.
Since the image uses thick black lines in places, I used a white Uni-Ball Signo and Molotow pen to lighten the image and open filled spaces. Then retraced in black adding a few more details of my own.
Always scanning the image as progress is made for future uses (also a good idea in case errors are made).
And then I just used a pen to make random scribbles and doodles all over the page.
Next step...plotting out the colors. I picked a limited selection of colors adding a numbering system to each.
And then added the numbers corresponding to the colors to the design.
And made a black and white copy.
And now you can let the fun begin. PAINT AWAY!
I labeled a paint tin and put the colors in each.
I have no clue at this point how this will turn out but it looks fun...
and that is all that matters.

I failed to take a photo of the original "final" color layout as I was on a roll getting it painted,
but only really altered the background colors to have less dark blue iu the sky and light green in the grass plus more light brown/tan in the face. The image was a bit chaotic so I need to make sure the stamp was the main focus.
The final copy was on the edge of a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I wasn't planning on trimming the 5x7 dimension until I finished painting. So instead,
I folded the paper,
trimmed off the bottom edge, and will use it as a card to give to
some"Bunny" special :).

Through this process, I realize a lot of art/stamping/creativity is a matter of trial and error.
Just continue to have fun in the process, and the end result will be appreciated by all.
