I used the first Misc. Insert to apply a 6x6 picture of the GORGEOUS day we had in NC. It was about 68 degrees. I simply added a rub-on stating "blissful". I spent most of the day outside with my dog, but also made time to decorate my tree and visit a scrapbooking store...(and I confess, finish my December Daily foundation pages.)
The 8.5 x 11 page comes next. (bare with me as photos are not always as great when taking a photo of photos inside a sheet protector)
I added more of the Martha Stewart holiday tape between photos and heart tape on the top/bottom with a simple rub-on.
The back has a large picture of my Christmas tree with a "shine" rub-on. The smaller pic is with the lights out. The smaller pics are of a cutesy craft project from Family Memories and my scrapbooking adventures that night (see larger photo below for clearer photo images) And again, I highlighted with tape and some sequin ribbon.
A sticker lent itself to my daily summary.
When I was outside I took some photos using my Panoramic option on my iPhone. Love it!! These photos flanked the top and bottom of the first page.
(lil Barkley even made the Panoramic)
And then while capturing an image of a dandelion ... my dog Barkley ran up to it...and I captured a new favorite picture. Don't ya just love those Happy Accidents :)
Once I decide on the photos to use, I measure the size of space in my foundation page that I need for each picture. I use Photoshop to create an 11x17 collaged page. I get my photos printed on glossy paper from Office Depot ($1.60 per page). It is more economical for me this way versus using my own printer. The images may not be as crisp, but it works for my desired outcome.
Another aspect of my planning (before, during, and afterthoughts for future projects) is sketching out elements, measurements and ideas in my journal. Keeping it handy when inspiration and ideas come to mind. (I try to write down all ideas for the sole reason, the best ideas are forgotten if I don't jot them down somewhere.)
Let the December Magic continue!
