WHAT A DAY(WEEKEND): April 17-20, 2015

Tony & I  headed out on Friday morning to Carolina Beach, NC...stopping for breakfast first.
Tony drove the first shift, then I took over.
And then we arrived, I walked the beach while Tony took a cat-nap.
(and then scared the begeesus out of me when I came back...revenge is due)

And then it was rehearsal dinner time...YAY!  I get to see Jodi :)
After dinner, we headed to The Beach House for some bachelorette/bachelor fun, pool, drinks, and socialization.  Tony & I won the first round of pool with moi hitting in the 8-ball :)

On Saturday, I woke up solo to see the sun rise (or tried to see it), then headed to the infamous Britt's Donuts in the rain for our breakfast to-go.

Lunch was from the Shuckin' Shack....fish sandwich and shrimp taco.

A little break in the weather allowed for a quick walk on the beach before getting ready for wedding pictures and the wedding.

Jodi made the prettiest bride, and her nieces were adorable!!
Love her...and her photo bombing mom :)
Love him!!
The flower bouquets were so pretty and chocolates always make me happy.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Rich!!
After the reception, Tony wanted more Britt's ...ironically, the line was longer at 9pm than at 8am.
But we enjoyed them and the movie "Exodus" at the beach house.
Sunday was the best sunrise of the weekend...Loved it, but not so much the 6:30 am wake-up alarm.
The day was once again gloomy; so after a beach walk, my Uncle Ken stopped by for a chat.  Tony & I then decided to go for a bike ride up to the pier.  Saw some fishermen, but all they were catching was sharks.  Then it started raining again.

So we went to lunch at Michael's Seafood...YUMMY!
appetizer of Fish N' Grits
entrée of Seafood Mac 'n' Cheese Bake and Steam Pot.
And then to see the movie "Paul Blart 2"

Monday before we left, we took time to watch the sunrise.
And then it was home to Charlotte/Anderson for us.

DIY: Pottery Class at Olive's Mud Puddle

From start to finish, I loved every minute especially the time creating with Tony.
The initial form and creating...

First firing in kiln...

Painting 3 layers of color...

After 2nd firing...

And a layer of cream was added to mine and I outlined some words on Tony's in sharpie which resulted in the final pieces...

Keepsakes to last a lifetime:)
