LETTING OUR INNER GARDENS GROW: Day 3

The weekend came to an end on a rainy day.
After a sweet discussion about the days to come after such fabulous time together (POPCORN),
Junelle was basically hands on doing her thing and helping all of us complete projects...giving pointers as well as a tutorial on Mailbox Art.
I finished the journal cover!!  Can you tell ...I was so much more content with this result.  The necklace was not working, and I just had to step away for a moment to get to this point.

Wrapped up my flowers.  Adding paint with my finger around the edges and some embroidery thread.

Not too mention, you should sniff a baby lamb's wool sometime.  IT IS SUNSHINE!!

I loved the flowers so much, that I had an idea to start a bouquet of them on a wood block.

(do you see my One Little Word? HELLO)
I definitely had to use it as part of the vase.

Here is a look at my seahorse when the pumice dried.  It looked a little dirty grey/white.
I was going to paint the coral with neon colors, but ended up leaving it as is.
I popped the seahorse out a bit by adding some elements of puffy paint.
Also started a few new pages in my journal and finished up others:

And then it was group picture time before fellow workshoppers left for the airport.
I am so happy to be a local and get to embark in this fabulousness without rushing.

Junelle left us such sweet special gifts of her lamb photos at the beginning of class & I couldn't resist asking her to sketch me a quick something on book text before she left, which she kindly did.
and it was PERFECT.  I will cherish and frame this!

My overall thoughts on the weekend:

I was so excited I couldn't sleep.  This weekend meant so much to me to be able to meet one of my favorite  artists.  And Junelle Jacobsen lives up to her word and her spirit and her emotions and her art.  You can't help but want to be her friend. I embraced every moment I got with her. She encourages each ones talent and guides you to be a better you!  And when she gives you a hug, you can feel it has meaning and good intentions.  She asks "how are you this morning?" and she really does care.  She is just sincerely Good People!!  And I will carry this weekend in my heart forever.

Donna Downey & her crew were awesome as well. What a setup to not have to bring ANYTHING to class.  This is such a load off when coming to a class as you can just get in your car and go.  You don't have to pack, worry if you have all your supplies, (or hunt for those hard to find ones online).  IT IS ALL THERE.  And the food is catered.  You don't have to spend any more money on lunch or ordering food. Plus the Studio is so spacious, there is room to move and explore, and just enjoy the time in comfort.
Truly JOB WELL DONE!

And a special Shout Out to my table-mates Ellie, Michelle, & Mac.  Love you gals and can't wait to meet again.
